We are a resource web site for the LGBTQ Community and have chapter in New Jersey Clinton, Flemington, Morristown and Tallahassee, Florida. We have outing and LGBTQ Speaker and do a Fundraising like Tricky Tray and Vendor Fair like Craft Fair.

What is LGBTQ?

  • LGBTQ+ is an abbreviation that stands for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, or questioning, among others. “Plus” represents other sexual identities such as pansexual, Two-Spirit, and intersexual. The first four letters of the abbreviation have been commonly used since the 1990s.

Who invented LGBTQ?

  • Karl Heinrich Ulrichs, a 19th century German lawyer and writer who may have identified as gay, was the first to try to label his own community. As early as 1862, he used the term “Urning” to refer to men who were attracted to men.

Periodic Outings

Providing periodic outings and activities for LGBTQ youth, Teens, young adults, adults and allies. Examples include trips to the Gay Pride Events and Parades, outdoor excursions, picnics and going out for pizza.

Monthly Meetings

Monthly meetings where LGBTQ youth, teens, young adults and adults can come together in a safe, accepting, and judgement-free environment to discuss issues of concern to them, socialize, play games, watch movies, or just hang out in a stress-free safe space.

Providing Opportunities

Providing opportunities to hear informational and educational speakers on topics of concern to the LGBTQ community, Parents, advocates, and allies are all welcome to join us at our meetings.

The Trevor Project

The Trevor Project was founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award®-winning short film TREVOR, The Trevor Project is the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) young people ages 13-24.

It Gets Better
  • It Gets Better Project’s mission is to communicate to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender youth around the world that it gets better, and to create and inspire the changes needed to make it better for them.
GLSEN
  • GLSEN Championing LGBTQ issues in K-12 education since 1990. Their mission is to create safe and affirming schools for all, regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or gender expression.
